As the owner of a farm that grows Christmas trees, she is in charge of overseeing all farming operations and caring for animals. She decided to specialize in Christmas trees upon discovering a sizeable market in Beckville, and attributes her success to her ability to provide a quality product and her commitment to customer satisfaction. A product of Panola College, Ms. Merket received an Associate's Degree in Business in 1983. She is a member of the Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association, Gold Wing Road Riders Association. In her spare time, she volunteers with her local Head Start program.
