Pamela W. Brown Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
Ms. Brown was the national finalist in the educational video communications category.

OLDSMAR, FL, October 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pamela W. Brown, Environmental Horticulture Extension Agent for Pinellas County Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of natural resource preservation education.

With more than eight years of professional experience in horticulture, Ms. Brown is responsible for home horticulture, sustainable landscape practice and preserving natural resources by providing research-based information about Florida-friendly landscaping practices, emphasizing the preservation of a sustainable environment to the public. In addition, she serves as a natural resources program leader, as a supervisor for the horticulture department and as a coordinator of master gardeners in Pinellas County Florida. After gaining 32 years of experience in clinical operations management in laboratories at various universities and medical schools, she decided to pursue a career in horticulture.

Ms. Brown was the national finalist in the educational video communications category and a recipient of the Florida Communications Award for educational signage in the aquatic habitat demonstration area from the National Association of County Agriculture Agents in 2007. In 2005, she was also honored by the University of Florida with the Gold IFAS Image Award for integrated pest management permanent educational signage in the Florida Botanical Gardens. She attributes her success to her hard work, dedication and ability to understand human values.

In 1998, Ms. Brown received her Master of Science in Horticulture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. ¬She is a member of the Florida Association of County Agriculture Agents, the National Association of County Agriculture Agents, the Florida State Horticulture Society and the International Society of Arboriculture and volunteers for the Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County Women Build. In her spare time, Ms. Brown enjoys reading fictional history.
