RAD farm in the Kamensky district has sown over 60% of wheat acreage
Allac Ltd. has planted spring wheat on 2,000 ha which accounts for 60% of the planned acreage and completed sunflower sowings on 1,080 ha
BARNAUL, RUSSIA, May 27, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Russian Agricultural Division (daughter farming operator of PAVA) reported a completion of sunflower sowings in one of its farms in the Kamensky District (the Altay Territory) - the planted acreage stood at 1,080 ha. By May 18, Allac Ltd. had sown 2,000 ha of wheat which amounts to 60% out of 3,200 ha stated in the business plan. In autumn, 1,280 ha was planted with winter wheat . Thus, the farm has allotted 4,480 ha of land for wheat sowings.
The fields of Russian Agricultural Division are cultivated with 'Lemken' disk harrows, sowing complexes from 'Salford' and 'Morris', and leading-edge agronomic techniques are used, which is the essential factor for boost of acreage and productivity .
"Allac Ltd. is setting the pace for the current campaign", says Alexander Kalashnikov, RAD CEO. "Besides, conducive weather allows to forecast that this farm will maintain the lead in completion of the season".
