Agricultural Expert Earns His Way To The Top Of The Valley
Karnail Singh Sidhu has been honored by Stanford Who's Who for exhibiting superior craftsmanship and management in the Agricultural Industry.


WESTBANK, BC, November 18, 2009 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Karnail Singh Sidhu has been honored by Stanford Who's Who for exhibiting superior craftsmanship and management in the Agricultural Industry. Sidhu has displayed excellent leadership in his role as Founder and President of Kalala Organic Estate Winery and Kalala Agriculture.

In 1993, with twenty five years of agricultural experience under his belt, Karnail left his native India for the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. He was also armed with a diploma in Electrical Engineering from Guru Nanak Poly Tech, a school which prides itself on cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit in its students. This impressive combination, along with further training as an organic inspector, has led him to great success in the business of producing organic wine and plant products.

The winery itself surveys the awe-inspiring Okanagan Lake which blends together perfectly with the company's philosophy of allowing the terroir and varietal characteristics to be fully expressed by adhering to minimal handling and gentle processing from growing to harvesting and to final vinification. This dedication and geographical convenience has led to various awards including first place in the 24th Annual People's Choice Awards of Kelowna in 2007 for Kalala Organic Estate Winery's Pinot Gris.
