Sue C. Lessard and Family Grow 10 Varieties of Heirloom Tomatoes
SANTA FE, NM, November 6, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sue C. Lessard, Manager of Growing Opportunities, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in agriculture.
Attracted by fresh vegetables and farmers market, Ms. Lessard's son-in-law Steve Martin established Growing Opportunities, an agricultural farm that specializes in the cultivation of heirloom tomatoes. Along with her daughter, Kimberly, the three of them are working to grow the business. Sue, an expert in customer relations, is in charge of overseeing operations and distributing the tomatoes to farmers markets and restaurants across a 50-mile area. Prior to joining Growing Opportunities, Sue worked in law enforcement and served for three years as the head of Pinkerton Security. She attributes her successful transition into a second career to willpower and determination.
An alumna of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Ms. Lessard received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She is also a certified Notary Public and a member of the National Notary Association.
