Job K. Savage Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Job K. Savage worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for more than 30 years

WILMINGTON, NC, February 3, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Job K. Savage of JK Savage has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in public service.

Currently retired, Dr. Savage worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 30 years and later served as a consultant and freelancer on agricultural economics and cooperative development. He also spent two years as an advisor to the minister of agriculture in Ethiopia and was in Somalia in 1985 and 1989 working on a plan to change Somalia into a form of a Cooperative Democracy (somewhat similar to forms of government in Norway and Sweden). During World War II, he served in the United States Army and later achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve. Mr. Savage now works as a writer and is the author of "Tarboro to Katamandu," his life story, including many of his travels (he has traveled to 59 countries and worked in 26 of them. His wife accompanied him to most of these countries). He is presently working in Ethopia that is to be published in early spring of 2010.

Dr. Savage received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1955. He was honored with an award from the United States Department of Agriculture.
