N. Jay Beck Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Agricultural Consulting
N. Jay Beck Oversees Large Herds of 200 to 1,000 Cows for Genex Cooperative
BYRON, MN, March 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- N. Jay Beck, Area Program Consultant for Genex Cooperative, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in agricultural consulting.
A 30-year veteran of the agriculture industry, N. Jay Beck is best noted for his expertise in reproductive analysis. In 2007, he assumed his current position at Genex Cooperative, an agricultural holding cooperative that specializes in dairy herd improvement computer processing and field association services, as well as artificial insemination. As area program consultant, Mr. Beck is responsible for performing reproductive data analysis on large herds of 200 to 1,000 cows in Northeast Iowa and Southeast Minnesota by managing profits and performance. One of 20 nationwide consultants for the cooperative, he began his career as an herdsman and worked his way up to a post in Iowa State University, where he managed two different university herds. He attributes his rise through the ranks to the depth of his experience.
Mr. Beck earned his Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Science in 1976 from Iowa State University. He is also a certified postsecondary teacher. His professional affiliations include the Dairy Shrine Club and the Dairy Science Club of Iowa State University. In his free time, he volunteers with youth in Lutheran Churches. He has been honored with a Milestone Award by Genex Cooperative.
