As Senior Winemaker with Geoff Merrill Wines, as well as throughout his brilliant career, Mr. Heidrich has routinely displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

The Geoff Merrill winemaking philosophy has been and always will be, to make wine that allows regional, varietal and vintage expression, without excessive winemaker intervention. They believe that maturation, both in cask and particularly in bottle, at their cellars prior to release, plays an important role in achieving the aim of balance and a passion for subtle, elegant and harmonious flavors in wine. They offer a variety of fine wines; including Henley shiraz, reserve shiraz, reserve chardonnay, reserve cabernet sauvignon, and a vast selection of premium wines.

Mr. Heidrich is responsible for harvesting, monitoring vineyards, organizing picking, additions, handling, and deciding on equipment purchases. During his collegiate career, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Wine Science from Roseworthy Agricultural College. Scott is a member of the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology and the McLaren Vale Wine Show Committee.
